On Thursday 7th July 2011, the administration and staff of SWAHA Hindu College celebrated with over 100 CAPE and CSEC graduates and their parents at the 6th graduation ceremony. It was indeed a very exciting and emotional day for all who were present as our industrious students were leaving our esteemed institution and stepping into
SWAHA Inc. held its Annual Sports Day at Larry Gomes Stadium, Arima on January 30th, 2011. SHC participated in the various events and did well in some of the events. In the Men’s Tug Of War, the SHC team led by Principal Pt. Balram Persad took 2nd place in the finals while the Ladies team
SHC held its Annual Family Day on Saturday December 2010 from 2:00 pm. There were many activities including Horror House, Punch Board, Tin Pan Alley, Ring Toss, Disco, Tea stall, Pastry Stall, Milkshakes and Ice Cream as well as a non alcoholic drinks stall. Corn Soup, pholourie and fries were made ‘Hot on D Spot’.
A 12 member group of performers from Gujarat, India performed items for the school’s Divali programme. India’s most celebrated handicapped dancer, Kamlesh Patel was one of the headline acts. The thirty seven year old man who is paralysed from the waist down uses his hands for walking and dancing. Mr. Patel is known from his performances in Dance
On October 1st 2010, Form One students received laptops. Their parents signed contracts from the Ministry of Education taking full responsibility for the safety of the laptops. Ms. Ansuiya Ramnath made a presentation on the Acceptable Use Policy so that the parents and students would have a better understanding on what the laptops can and
