On the 11th of December, we solemnly observe the birth anniversary of the revered Shankaracharya of SWAHA, the late Pt. Hari Prasad, the visionary founder of SWAHA International in 1993.

Over his 65 years as a practicing pundit, the Shankaracharya initiated thousands of devotees from across the globe. His spiritual counsel was sought by national leaders, scholars and seekers alike. He extended his wisdom to all, transcending boundaries of creed, race and social status, recognising the need for enlightened ritualism and a profound understanding of the philosophy of Sanataan Dharma in contemporary times.
Shankaracharyaji consistently underscored the importance of education in self-development, emphasising the enduring value of family life. His physical strength was matched by an internal fortitude that surfaced in the face of adversity and criticism, guiding his devotees to maintain faith in God, cultivate mental stability and place trust in the eternal wisdom of our scriptures.
He often reminded us that God has bestowed upon us all that we require. Thus, he implored us to steadfastly uphold dharma and lead a modest life at the Divine’s feet, ensuring that his legacy endures through acts of self-sacrifice, adherence to principles and compassion for those around us.
Today, his distinguished lineage carries forward the flame of SWAHA, both domestically and internationally, preserving and advancing his profound spiritual legacy.
