Nirvana Kistow is 19 years of age and hails from Sangre Grande. She entered SWAHA Hindu College in 2013 which was her first choice school at the SEA Examination. She graduated from SWAHA Hindu College in 2020 having spent seven wonderful years at the school. Nirvana began to show her true potential as a student when she entered Form 3 and was introduced to the area of Business, which was evident with Merit Awards for Principles of Accounts, Principles of Business and Economics. At her Form 5 graduation in 2018 she was the valedictorian, won the Principal’s award and subject awards in the areas of Principles of Business, Economics, Integrated Science and Principles of Business. At the CSEC level she received grade ones in Mathematics, English A, Principles of business, Principles of Account, Economics, I.T and Integrated Science, and a two in Spanish with five distinctions . She continued in this vein at the CAPE level where she received grade ones in Communicate Studies, Economics units 1 & 2, Accounts units 1 & 2, Management of Business units 1 & 2 and a two in Caribbean Studies with distinctions in Economics and Management of Business. She also received Form 6 subject awards for Management of Business and Economics. During her school life she took part in Swaha’s Sports Day for the house of Daan, competed in the COTE19 Make-a-ton competition and served as a Form 6 prefect for two years. She is currently pursuing a BSc in Management Studies at the University of the West Indies St Augustine where she continues to excel. Nirvana credits her success to hard work and faith in Bhagwan as well as very supportive and caring teachers, and a positive school environment that is conducive to success.
