Reflecting on the Publications Committee

Chairperson, Publications Committee, Mrs. Nalini Parasram-Rajballie, SWAHA Gyaan Deepak Kirtan Mandali

It is with profound gratitude and humility that I accepted the responsibility of Chairperson of the Publications Committee, as requested by the Paramacharya of SWAHA. This role is both an honour and a privilege, and I approach it with deep respect for the legacy of my predecessor, Ms. Rupatee Singh.

For many years, I had the privilege of working under Ms. Singh’s wise and capable guidance. Her dedication and unrelenting efforts have left an indelible mark on the committee and its work. Her contributions have set a standard that is both inspiring and humbling, and it is an enormous task to follow in her footsteps.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my journey with the Publications Committee has been witnessing the evolution of SWAHA’s newsletter. From its early days as a traditional printed publication to its new manifestation as a digital e-newsletter, the transition has enabled us to reach the inboxes of devotees around the globe. It has been a valuable learning experience, adapting to the times while preserving the essence of the messages.

I am also deeply grateful for the opportunity to have co-edited SWAHA’s publications in recent years, “All You Need to Know About Hindu Death Ceremonies” and “All You Need to Know About Puja,” with Mrs. Aarti Persad. These works reflect SWAHA’s commitment to sharing the wealth of knowledge entrenched in Sanaatan Dharma.

Today, the Publications Committee is blessed with the resourceful talents of Pt. Artma Persad, Mr. Dinesh Arjoon and Ms. Sushela Ramanan. Their dedication ensures that our articles are uploaded to the SWAHA website, www.swahainternational.org, a repository of SWAHA knowledge since 2008. They also oversee the layout of the e-newsletter and its smooth distribution.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to SWAHA’s learned pandits, who enhance our publications with scriptural wisdom through their insightful satsangs. Their teachings, which are also shared on SWAHA’s social media platforms, remain a cornerstone of the articles. With their spiritual guidance, we are empowered to navigate life’s journey with clarity and purpose, anchored in the principles of Sanaatan Dharma.

As the Publications Committee continues its mission to spread the knowledge of Sanaatan Dharma and the vision of SWAHA International, we warmly invite feedback from our readers. Whether it is topics you wish to see addressed or contributions you would like to make, your insights are invaluable in shaping our offerings.

Looking ahead to 2025, we are excited to embark on another productive year of sharing the profound teachings of the Hindu scriptures, as well as the perspectives of the Paramacharya and SWAHA’s pandits. May the year ahead bring spiritual fulfilment and enlightenment to all.
